12mm large white shell pearls have been used to make this lovely classic pearl necklace. 

Perfectly round with a beautiful lustre, shell pearls are actually not true pearls - they are made by grinding down the shells that pearls grow in, and then that material (the nacre) is layered around a bead to give it its perfect shape and shine.

They may not be true pearls but they really look good! These are high quality shell pearls with a thick layer of nacre hence their high lustre. 

I have knotted between each pearl and have finished the necklace with a sterling silver clasp but other clasp options are available in the drop box on the right.

A bracelet is also available using these shell pearls but may not be on the website yet - just call me for details.
