Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the website.

Colour Reproduction

Every effort has been made to reproduce colours on the site as accurately as possible. However, different computers reproduce colours in slightly different ways, therefore exact matches are not yet possible over the Internet.  This means that when you order products, colours may differ from what you can see on your screen.  Please also bear in mind that, due to their organic nature, freshwater pearls do vary in size as well as colour and invariably are not perfect - which I believe is part of their charm. 

Postage and Packaging

Your jewellery will be dispatched within 4-5 working days. If your order cannot be dispatched within that time, I will contact you. 

There are three postage options available at the checkout
o   £3.75 Royal Mail Tracked 48 - equivalent to 2nd class postage (when you item is not so urgent) with full tracking to delivery point and email notifications to recipient. Delivery times and instructions can be changed before delivery is made.
o   £4.50 Royal Mail Tracked 24 - equivalent to 1st class postage but not guaranteed next day delivery. The same service as Tracked 48 with full tracking to delivery point and email notifications to recipient. Delivery times and instructions can be changed before delivery is made.
o   £8.50 Royal Mail Special Delivery - guaranteed next day delivery (after dispatch) Fully tracked and signature required on delivery. Ideal if your order is urgent.
For orders over £150.00 delivery is free and sent via Special Delivery

Overseas Postage
If you live outside the UK postage the postage charge is £15.00. For orders over £180.00 in value delivery is free.
Customers outside the United Kingdom are liable for any customs/import duty, quotas, permits, product/import restrictions and other local requirements. Any such charges are the responsibility of the customer. Please make yourself aware of the situation in your own country.

Jewellery prices stated exclude postage costs. All purchases are sent in organza bags as standard. Boxes can be requested when ordering each item of jewellery. 

Payment

At the check-out you have the option of paying by debit or credit card using the secure Stripe system. If you would prefer to make payment via cheque please select this option and make your cheque payable to Alison Furness.  Please remember to include the necessary postage value. Orders will be dispatched when the cheque is cleared.

Returns and Refunds

I hope you will be delighted with your jewellery but if you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase within 7 days of receipt, Freshwater Pearls Jewellery will provide a full refund or exchange of the item. Please bear in mind that due to their organic nature, pearls are not uniform in appearance or colour.

You must return the goods unworn and in the condition in which they were supplied to you and by Recorded/Signed for Service only. The cost of your item will be refunded but not postage costs. Freshwater Pearls Jewellery reserves the right to refuse a refund or exchange if the goods returned are deemed to have been damaged, worn or tampered with. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If you are returning an item because of an error on my part or because it is faulty, I will be happy to refund your costs incurred in sending it back. Otherwise you will be responsible for those charges. Please contact me before posting so that I know to expect them. The return address is: FWP, PO Box 486, Beckenham, Kent BR3 9EX

Bespoke and commissioned items cannot be refunded as consultation throughout the design process will have taken place.

If you wish to change the style or length of the jewellery once it has been despatched,  please contact me to discuss options. At the discretion of Freshwater Pearls Jewellery, a charge will be made if re-modelling or re-stringing is required.

After 7 days goods will only be accepted for return for alteration or if faulty, at the discretion of Freshwater Pearls Jewellery. You may cancel your order at any time prior to dispatch.

How do I return an item?
Please enclose the dispatch invoice inside the parcel giving the reason for the return, stating whether you require a refund or exchange. Pack the parcel securely reusing the original packaging if possible. Return the package to Freshwater Pearls Jewellery via the Post Office, by Recorded/Signed for Service only. Freshwater Pearls Jewellery cannot accept liability for goods that get lost or damaged in transit. Please ensure you keep your proof of posting.

When do I get a refund once I have returned an item?
Once the package is received, refunds will be credited back to your original method of payment. I aim to process all refunds and exchanges on receipt but some banks take a few days to process the credit to your account.
